Your Safety is Our Priority
At Families USA’s Health Action Conference 2025, hosting a safe and secure event is our top priority. To ensure the well-being of all attendees, staff, and volunteers, we are implementing a comprehensive security and safety plan, which includes:
On Monday, January 13, 2025, (Washington, DC) Mayor Muriel Bowser and federal partners shared information about preparations for the 60th Presidential Inauguration, taking place on Monday, January 20, 2025 in the District of Columbia. The inauguration is a National Special Security Event (NSSE), a classification that brings federal and local partners together under the lead of the United States Secret Service. The NSSE designation allows significant federal, state, and local resources to be deployed, ensuring a robust security plan throughout the city. District public safety agencies and federal partners have spent nearly a year developing the inaugural security plan. Read more about the city’s plans and the Mayor’s statement here.
Health & Safety Guidelines
We are committed to hosting a safe event by closely monitoring community risk levels associated with COVID-19, and other respiratory illnesses, following CDC guidelines. Masks and hand sanitizing stations will be available for free onsite.
Families USA will provide all attendees with their choice color-coded badge designation (shown below) to represent each attendee’s choice of contact:
ADA Compliance Plan for Emergency Situations
Our production team is dedicated to ensuring accessibility for all attendees. Should an emergency occur, we are fully prepared to accommodate individuals requiring accessible support during the conference.
